A group of 7 brave runners from the Southside Radio Cars office yesterday ran the Womens 10K in Glasgow to raise money for the Eve Appeal. Thanks to those who supported them in raising over £400 for this fantastic cause.

Our annual Millport Madness bike ride took place yesterday with 67 taking part in another fun filled day!

The event has already raised £3018.26 for Beatson Cancer Charity. We also raised an additional £550 more that we gave out to 2 of our staff members family who are receiving treatment at the amazing Beatson Cancer Unit.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us and to those who took part.

Our staff and drivers were pleased to help local charities over the festive period, raising £6220 which was awarded as follows.

The Invisibles Homeless Charity £1000
Fishes & Loaves Soup Kitchen £1000
Erskine Hospital £850
Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice £850
Barnardo’s £850

Here's the newspaper article covering our efforts. Thanks to everyone for contributing!

We promised the Prince and Princess of Wales Brick by Brick appeal that we would raise £10K towards their 50/10 club.  50 business promising £10K towards the building and upkeep of the Atrium in the new hospice currently being built in Bellahouston.

This has involved the staff taking part in a 10K, bag packing at Morrisons Cardonald Christmas week, a £10 donation from every driver on the Southside system at Christmas and finally a Millport bike ride on Sunday 15th May.

We have managed to raise just over £12K for the new hospice!!!!

Well done everyone!!!!

Heather took her life in her hands and completed a zipslide across the Clyde to raise funds for Yorkhill Hospital.  In particular the Neuroblastoma wards.

She raised £367.13 for Yorkhill and also another £100 for Action for Children.

Well done Heather!

Southside Radio Cars have been fundraising throughout 2014 in order to raise £10,000 for two local ADL schools, Howford Primary in Crookston and Linburn Academy in Penilee.

Howford have decided to use the money raised for them to take their children on a residential retreat which is both great for the children and also provides much needed respite for their parents and guardians and Linburn will launch a recreational
program for their children, including horse riding and snow sports amongst others.

The lucky winner of the Grand Holiday Prize Draw is Mr John Leggatt from Paisley. We all wish him and his family a fantastic holiday. The winner of the Theatre Break donated by Travel Planet was Alan Gunn from Tern Alpha Platform, the Smart TV was won by David Wan of Dumbarton Road, Glasgow and finally our last Cash Prize was won by Laura McLernon of Glasgow.

We would like to give a special mention to Mr Peter Prior and his colleagues on Tern Alpha Platform, as they once again have outdone themselves in their support of our fundraising.

We would like to acknowledge the amazing efforts of everyone - Staff, Drivers customers and suppliers of Southside Radio Cars.
